An antique map in old colours of Lincolnshire, with charming illustrations in the margins and header and footer. Engraved by R Ramble, and published circa 1845.
Reuben Ramble was in fact Reverend Samuel Clarke (1810 - 1875). He was the Rector of Eaton-Bishop in Herefordshire and later a curate in Northamptonshire. He wrote geography books for children, of which this map is an example.
