Carlisle Castle is in the English county of Cumbria, near the ruins of Hadrian's Wall. The castle is over 900 years old and has been the scene of many historical episodes in British history.
Drawn by Thomas Allom (1804-1872), engraved by William Alexander Le Petit (1804-1896) and published circa 1834.
