An antique, hand coloured map of the northern England county of Cumberland (now Cumbria), decorated with heraldic shields, and an attractive picture of Carlisle. By Thomas Moule, 1836, this edition 1843. Thomas Moule (1784 – 1851) was a writer on heraldry and a map maker. He is best known for his popular and highly decorated county maps of England, steel engraved, and first published separately between 1830 and 1832.
