An antique map of Somersetshire with illustrations by Reuben Ramble. In original colours, and published circa 1845. A rare item. Reuben Ramble was in fact Reverend Samuel Clarke (1810 - 1875). He was the Rector of Eaton-Bishop in Herefordshire and later a curate in Northamptonshire. He wrote geography books for children, of which this map from Travels Through the Counties of England is an example. Mounted. Ready to frame. As seen.
