Not to be confused with the Stansted in Essex, this print from a copper engraving shows an aerial view of Stansted Park, which is near Chichester in West Sussex.
Stansted Park was mentioned in the Doomsday Book. The main building was built in 1686, but was destroyed by fire in 1900, and was rebuilt on the exact footprint of the original building. This copper engraving dates from around 1700. It is presented in an antique Hogarth frame.
