A hand coloured, antique steel engraving of the Bombardment of Odessa, that took place on April 22nd 1854. Published by the London Printing and Publishing Company, circa 1858. 'The boats of the Fleet going to the French Steamer Vauban to assist in extinguishing the fire caused by the red hot shot fired from the Russian batteries'. The Bombardment of Odessa was an action during the Crimean War in which a joint Anglo-French squadron of warships attacked the Russian port of Odessa. Mounted. Unframed.
