An antique, hand coloured stipple engraving of the two junior princes of Spain, and Maria Isabella their sister. Published circa 1800.
Maria Isabella (1789 - 1848) is shown in this portrait with her two brothers Fernando and Carlos. Her father was Charles IV of Spain, who was married to Queen Maria Luisa, but as the queen was conducting an affair with the first minister Manuel de Godoy, there is some speculation as to whether de Godoy was in fact her true father, not King Charles!
