An antique aquatint in original colours of a view of the viaduct across the Sankey Valley. This Merseyside L&MR viaduct was by the pioneering engineer George Stephenson. Completed in 1830, it is regarded as the first major railway viaduct in the world. 
Drawn by TT Bury and engraved by H Pyall. This is plate from 'Six Coloured Views of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway' published by R Ackerman, London in 1833. Mounted. Ready to frame.
